Some of my best memories are made at the tatahi (beach) at Mokau.
It’s a fabulous place to kauhae (swim),ika (fish) relax and just hang out with
my whanau (family). It’s the best place in the world! I love it when my cousins
come! We have so much fun! My brother and my cousins went hoewaka (rowing) in
the fast current while everyone else stayed on aiau (shore) and we burnt our
names into rakau (wood) with a magnetising
glass! We always have so much fun whether we are ma (white) baiting or
swimming, it’s great! It’s the best place for memories. By Kate.
