My Makau (favourite) Maka (memory)

My makau (favourite) maka (memory) was when my whanau (family) went to Disneyland, California, America. My makau (favourite) ride was the Drivers Learners X. Papa (dad) went on the ride with me. I was a parekareka (fantastic) driver. My tungane (older brother to a girl) was behind me having a blast. Mama (mum) was with him taking some photos. Papa (dad) told me to put my waewae (foot) down and go faster, so I said “OK”. It felt like I was a ‘girl racer’ taraiwatanga (driving) on the race track and ‘bam’ I won! My tungane (older brother to a girl) Jarrod close behind. I got my driver’s licence, I was in rangi (heaven). Muri (after) I got candy floss it was scrum-diddle-rump-cious.
